Around 1530, the Spanish Conquistador Pizzaro entered Bolivia and found a mountain where there was so much silver that the streets were lined with it. Spain began forcing the native peoples to mine this mountain and very young children were forced to do most of the work because the caves were too small for adults. This short time in history resulted in a holocaust of 5 million children and 3 million more adults whose bodies are still within the ancient mines of Mount Potosi, near Sucre Bolivia.
The wealth taken from Bolivia became the source of prosperity which built the Spanish Armada (check this). To this day, Mount Potosi is called “The Devil’s Mountain” by Bolivians. And since the days of colonial Spain the nation of Bolivia and indeed all of South America has remained poverty stricken and small children are forced into labor at a very young age.
TOS Ministries has heard from the Lord about breaking this stronghold over South America by chopping at the root of the problem. They have committed to Bolivian children at the original source of this tragedy. TOS has recently purchased an abandoned hotel in Sucre Bolivia. In the shadow of Mt Petosi they have a place which can house up to 80 children at a time and give them personal attention and care. Here they will be educated to become the next leaders of Bolivia. This is a long-term goal to give hope in a hopeless situation.
You could help change the destiny of South America by supporting the work that TOS is doing in Bolivia, Argentina, Peru, and Paraguay. Would you prayerfully consider a donation to TOS International Ministries? http://youtube.com/watch?v=ksBnvAGC90s I want so much that Americans would help what these humble saints of Germany are doing to heal the wounds of history on this forsaken continent. There are different options for taking part in this plan: - You can write a check to Ted Pearce Ministries. Please put TOS INTERNATIONAL in the memo line and send it to:
TPM - P O Box 1553 - DeSoto, TX 75123 You can also make a credit card donation at my website. PLEASE be sure to indicate that it is for TOS Bolivia. - Go to this page and make a bank transfer directly to TOS International
And you can also help by making all your purchases here. A small percentage will go into a special bank account for these kids and that eventually adds up. |
