A different version of this was released in 2007 by Galilee of the Nations, with a very powerful video.

However, this original version was the basic track and the lyrics were changed. In this version, it is about Islamic persecution of Sudanese Christians, and features a Sudanese muslim friend of Ted's reading from the Book of Romans and the Lord's Prayer in Sudanese.

A million people crying out in pain
Hidden people calling out in vain
Miserable people with no where to go
Invisible people nobody knows
And the fields are red with the blood of brave men who would never deny
the Name
Their cities are burned and their daughters are raped and their sons carried
off in chains
And for the love of our God to be made known are willing to suffer the
shame
How Jesus must weep while we ask to be blessed while our brothers are
being slain
Blessed people try to help
Too few people giving of themselves
Beautiful people who bring good news
Indifferent people sitting in the pews
And the fields are red with the blood of brave men who would never deny
the Name
Their cities are burned and their daughters are raped and their sons carried
off in chains
And for the love of our God to be made known are willing to suffer the
shame
How Jesus must weep while we ask to be blessed while our brothers are
being slain
The Forgotten People, they are forgotten people
It's time to wake up from the pleasant sleep
Time to see our nakedness and begin to weep
And the fields are red with the blood of brave men who would never deny
the Name
Their cities are burned and their daughters are raped and their sons carried
off in chains
And for the love of our God to be made known are willing to suffer the
shame
How Jesus must weep while we ask to be blessed while our brothers are
being slain
The Forgotten People, they are forgotten people
Can you hear them calling out again?
